Paper Battle Ships Game

This is a great game for Grade 2 and up. It gives students some experience through play of math concepts aligned with mapping and coordinates. After downloading this PDF game from our store you can print and laminate the parts. Once everything is laminated and cut out, glue the laminated pieces onto the manila folders. The folders in the picture were purchased from Kmart for a few dollars, but you can use any type that you like.

Once the pieces are glued and dried you are all set to go. I used paperclips to join two folders together to have a distinct set up like the real battleships game. For the labels I used Modge Podge to secure them to the cover of the file folder game. Once ready have students use whiteboard markers to mark in their ships and begin to play. Erase the whiteboard marker when you are finished and then you are all set to reuse the game for next time. I hope your students have as much fun as mine did! These work great for math rotations also.
